Introduction

The Land Registry is situated in the Registries Building on Deemsters Walk, Bucks Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 3AR. The Registry is open to members of the public Monday to Thursday: 9.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. and Friday: 9.30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. The implementation of a system of land registration was brought about to improve on the present system of deeds registration, to encourage simpler conveyancing procedures, to permit land registration information to be made readily available.
